An early Victorian sterling silver coffee pot, London 1842 by William Hewitt (first reg. 24th Feb 1829)

Of compressed baluster form, the slightly lobed sides decorated with foliate motifs, with floral overhanging rim, raised on a domed circular foot, with a hinged domed lid surmounted by a detachable flower head finial, the handle with ivory insulators. Fully marked underneath, the lid, finial and handle part-marked.

Height – 24.5 cm / 9.5 inches

Weight – 876 grams / 28.16 ozt
