A George V sterling silver ‘arts and crafts’ inkstand, Birmingham 1913 by Liberty & Co
The pen rest of deep oval form with skirting sides with applied rope twist rim, the sides with embossed oval cartouches and a stamped rim. The inkwell of baluster form affixed to a circular section with chased and pierced fruiting vine junction. The hinged lid with embossed cartouches and surmounted by a collet set cabochon paste. Clear glass liner to interior. Fully marked to reverse and part-marked to lid.
