A Queen Anne Britannia standard silver one handled porringer, London 1702 by John Cory (reg. April 1697)

The circular bowl with bellied sides, the single handle of pierced scroll form. The centre of handle engraved with contemporaneous initials H * T in Roman script. Fully marked to side and with lions head erased to handle underside.

Length – 16 cm / 6.25 inches

Weight – 99 grams / 3.18 ozt
