136 leaves, double-column, first initial in blue and green with red penwork decoration, other initials in red, slight damp-staining at head with a few small wormholes, gothic type, printer’s device at end, Nicolaus Kesler, 1 December 1489, together with Gesta romanorum. 100 leaves, double column, first initial in blue and green with red penwork decoration, contemporary manuscript text on final blank verso entitled "Incipit libellus Sancti Bernhardi de regimine..." [Strassburg: Johann (Reininger) Gruninger], 15 January 1488, 2 vol. in 1, numerous early annotations throughout, contemporary half blind-stamped calf over wooden boards, from the Christuskopf bindery in Hildesheim, later leather lettering label to spine, lacking clasps, remains of index tabs to pages, new endpapers, repaired hinges, bookplate to inside of front board and ink stamp to front end paper of Ampleforth. Chancery folio.
