Antiques, Art, Design and Collectables are a passion-turned-vocation for Matthew. As an avid collector, his interest drew him away from the City and into the world of auctions. Matthew spent many years acquiring a broad and practical knowledge of antiques as a general valuer and auctioneer at Chiswick Auctions, before eventually establishing our first dedicated Watch and Jewellery sales and starting the shift away from general sales and towards the broad departmental offering clients see today.

As one of the Executive Directors, Matthew is part of the leadership team and heavily involved in the overall strategy and management of Chiswick Auctions. Dividing his time overseeing the specialist departments and supporting general valuation enquiries, Matthew’s activity spans the full spectrum of auction activity.

As one of our senior specialists, Matthew is involved in estate/probate valuations and responsible for sourcing objects across all departments.
