Chiswick Auctions

Prior to joining Chiswick Auctions Jim worked as a cataloguer and valuer in the European Ceramics and Glass Department at Bonhams in New Bond Street. He holds a PhD in Archaeology and an MSc and BSc in Conservation, during which time he focused his research interests on early medieval, Byzantine and Islamic glass and pottery. He has contributed to some significant new discoveries including a previously unknown mid-18th Century Doccia porcelain figure of an executioner, and a 15th-century Venetian enamelled glass goblet. He lectures widely and has published in a number of journals.

Jim sits on the board of directors for both The Glass Circle and the British Association for the History of Glass, and is a member of the English Ceramic Circle and the International Association for the History of Glass (AIHV).
