Chiswick Auctions is looking for Mandarin-speaking preview staff and telephone bidding staff to assist with their two Asian Art sales. We are looking for four people to assist with the sale preview and 2 – 3 people to assist with telephone bidding.

Location: Chiswick Auctions, Chiswick. W4 4PH, nearest tube Turnham Green and Chiswick Park. Gunnersbury Station on the London Overground is a 15 min walk.

Dates: All or some of the following:

Tues 31 Oct 10am - 4.30pm
Weds 1 Nov 10am - 4.30pm
Thurs 2 Nov 10am - 4.30pm
Fri 3 Nov 10am - 4.30pm
Sat 4 Nov 10am - 4.30pm
Sun 5 Nov 10am - 4.30pm
Mon 6 Nov – Asian Art I - telephone bidding 9am onwards
Tues 7 Nov – Asian Art II - telephone bidding 9am onwards

Payment: £11.95 per hour preview and £150 per day telephone bidding

Responsibilities:
As preview staff: to assist clients with viewing the lots from the three sales. Full training will be provided.
As telephone bidding staff: to speak to clients in Mandarin as part of the bidding process. Again, full training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will be a Mandarin speaker who is interested in Asian Art - antique and contemporary including ceramics, bronzes and paintings. First class client-facing skills. Professional appearance. Good English.
