Silver & Objects of Vertu

Best of 2024

This year has been the most successful year yet for the department, marking a continued trajectory of growth and achievement. We have proudly brought to market superb and select examples of silverware from around the globe. The increasingly robust offering of non-European silver from regions such as Persia, Iraq, India, Burma, and Cambodia has elevated these pieces to new levels of appreciation on the international stage. Following last year’s landmark sale of The Stewart Collection of Anglo-Indian Silver, we were thrilled to present another focused private collection, The Gerard Collection of Chinese Export Silver.

Chiswick Auctions’ Silver Department is now firmly established as one of the most engaged silver auctions, recognised for its commitment to rigorous research, rarity, and outstanding presentation.
