Most of the ten pieces for sale at Chiswick Auctions on December 6 were purchased by Collins in the last decades of her life while living in California.Unlike some of her famous showstopper pieces, these jewels were part of the author’s everyday style: less ostentatious diamond necklaces and earrings that would complement every outfit in her wardrobe. As estimates range from £200-900, they are potentially more obtainable than the jewels of most Hollywood starlets’ collections.
