Two Chinese mark-and-period pieces dating to the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1735 to 1796) represent highlights of Chiswick Auction's upcoming Asian Art sale of 3 November 2015.



A CHINESE PARCEL-GILT BRONZE CENSER. Qianlong mark and of the period. Decorated with pairs of confronting qilong dragons beneath bats, supported on four round feet, daqing qianlong nianzhi mark to base, 5.5cm H. £500 – 800

A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE BOWL. Qianlong mark and of the period. With rounded sides and an everted rim supported on a cylindrical foot, the exterior decorated with a ring of Buddhist emblems above scrolling lotus heads, with four circular panels containing the characters wan shou wu jiang, the base marked da qing qianlong nianzhi, 10cm H, 18cm diameter. £6,000 – 8,000
