In these difficult times, the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers is of paramount importance to us and so in line with the Government’s COVID-19 guidance, we have made the decision to close all our premises to the public until further notice, effective 24 March.

We continue to run a scaled down business, and you can still contact us via email or by telephone. To make things easier, we have set out below some key information on how we can help you buy, sell and consign using our online services.

Online Auctions
We are fully functional online and will continue with our sales during this time. We are continuing to see positive results which has assured us that the market remains buoyant:

  • A George III Irish mahogany blanket chest on stand, sold for £1,700. Interiors, Homes & Antiques on 24 March.
  • A Portrait miniature of William Holman Hunt O.M. by Edward Robert Hughes (1827-1910), sold for £7,500. Fine Portrait Miniatures including the Comerford Collection on 25 March.
  • A rare American mid-18th century silver pepper caster, Philadelphia circa 1740-50 by Phillip Syng Jr (1703-1789), sold for £1,700. Silver & Objects of Vertu on 25 March

However there have been some updates to the calendar in April and May. To view these changes, click here.

Bidding, Payments and Collections:

  • Clients may bid live online via our own bidding platform, by telephone or absentee bidding as normal - find out more here
  • Payment for lots already purchased can be made online through our payment platform or via bank transfer
  • Payments for all future purchases can be made in the usual way. Please contact our Buyers Account Department to organise payment.
  • Provided lots are paid for, we are offering free storage until such time as business and public life returns to normal and shipping/collection can be arranged

Consignments and Valuations:
We are no longer able to offer on-site valuations but our Valuations Team are still able to provide valuations through our Online Valuation Form. It is as simple as uploading images and details of your items. If you wish to contact one of our specialists directly to discuss a specific consignment or a larger collection, a list of their contact information can be found here.

As we are now closed to the public, we cannot accept collections or deliveries to any of our premises at this time. The earliest possible delivery and collection slots will be made available on Tuesday 14 April, unless stated otherwise by the UK Government.

We will keep you fully updated on developments via our website and remain as available as ever on the telephone.

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty,
The Chiswick AuctionsTeam
