A PAINTED PHALLIC FIGURE, PAPUA NEW GUINEA The stylised figure stands on an integral base, hands resting on the oversized thighs, the abdomen and shoulders decorated with incised designs highlighted in red, yellow and white pigment, with a simply carved face with cowrie shell eyes, the figure wears a tall carved headdress also decorated with coloured pigments, 83cm high,  Provenance: Collection of Professor Robert Johns.
