A ROMAN BRONZE THEATRE MASK ATTACHMENT Circa 1st – 2nd Century A.D. Depicting a comic slave mask, with typical open mouth in a wide grimace, a heavy furrowed brow, and a broad flat nose, the mask wears an ivy wreath with berries, 6.5cm high, Provenance: With Rupert Wace Ancient Art, London; Private collection, California, acquired from the above on 16 November 2000; and thence by descent.
