***Interesting account of Bowdich’s third voyage to Africa (1822), edited and posthumously published by the author’s wife. It includes ‘a narrative of the continuance of the voyage to its completion… a description of the English settlements on the River Gambia,’ and an ‘appendix, containing Zoological and Botanical descriptions, and translations from the Arabic’, as well as plates of ‘Views, Costumes, and Zoological Figures’.
