AN ENAMELLED JAPANESE SILVER VASE AND COVER BY OZEKI.

Meiji period.

Of cylindrical shape, delicately worked in gold wire cloisonné and basse-taille enamel with sparrows in flight amongst bamboo tree, flanked by bands of filigree foliage, supported on a scallop shaped base, the lid surmounted with a sprig of lily and the handles applied with entwined bamboo leave, the seal mark on the base, Ozeki sei, 9cm H, with a lacquered storage box.
