Meiji period.

Of rectangular shape, the cover inset with five shakudo kozuka inlaid in silver, shakudo, and gilt on nanako ground, with various designs including dragonflies beside a stream, samurai on the shore, flying cranes, the sides engraved with the ‘bird-and flower’ motif signed Hideori, 7 x 9.4 x 6.5 cm.
