An Indian enamelled brass ceremonial set 

Possibly Kashmir or Northern India, first half 20th century 

Comprising two tall urn-shaped vases standing on hemispherical foot, with bulbous body and flared neck, the exterior finely incised with floral tendrils and scrolling vegetal vines on a white enamelled ground, 37.5cm high; a smaller vase with cylindrical body and similar exterior decoration, 25cm high; a circular flower and potpourri container with reticulated lid resting on a detached tripod base with elephants, 23cm diam. and 23cm high; a triangular ashtray with similar decoration, 7.2cm high; and a rectangular tray with two handles, 61cm x 34 cm, all marked on each base “MADE IN BTSH INDIA” with inventory numbers and intials “H.K.” and “G.P.”, weighing 16kg.
