A SOUTH ARABIAN LIMESTONE STELE Circa 3rd – 1st Century B.C. With a characteristic angular face, carved in deep releif at the top of a, now broken, rectangular stele, with deep lozenge shape eyes which would have originally been filled with inlay, a large triangular nose, a small linear mouth, prominent ears and a closely cropped beard, a Sabaean inscription below is still just visible, 28cm high,  Provenance: Rhenish private collection, acquired in the 1990s.
