*** First issued by the Brussels printer Balthasar Vivien in 1665. After his death, his entire stock was taken over by the Verdussen brothers of Antwerp, who reissued the few remaining copies of Barros’s masterpiece with a new title. Copies with this cancel title are distinctly uncommon. Pp 105-6 are also missing from the copy in the Biblioteca Nacional in Madrid.
