"The Czarovich had a very large staff, amongst whom was Sir Donald Wallace who had married a Russian lady. The usual round of sight-seeing was done, and visits to and from Gaekwar. A day's shooting was also arranged, which came to rather an abrupt ending, owing to one of the staff mistaking the Czarowitch for a deer behind a clump of long grass. Other visitors at this time were Lord and Lady Jersey, Sir Arthur and Lady Hayter, Sir H. Seymour King", Henry M. Vibart, The Life of General Sir Harry N. D. Prendergast: R. E., V. C., G. C.
