A CHINESE UNRECORDED BLUE AND WHITE OPEN BOWL.
Qing Dynasty, Qianlong era.
With deeply rounded and a waisted foot, with a hollow middle, decorated in underglaze blue with floral patterns, 8.5cm H, 22cm diameter.
The present bowl appears to be unrecorded in the literature. It has been suggested that the piece is a prototype filter device to be used in the Dutch milk industry with a thin gauze to be tied intended to be tied around the waisted foot.
