A CHINESE THREE-COLOUR CINNABAR LACQUER 'POMEGRANATE' BOX AND COVER.

Qing Dynasty, 18th Century.

Of irregular section, the cover carved in varying relief with two pomegranates borne on a leafy steam, in ochre, red, and blue, on finely carved geometric diaper ground, the sides of the box carved in red with wan-diaper, the interiors and base lacquered black, 11cm long.
