A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE VASE, FANGHU.

Qing Dynasty, Kangxi era.

Of square section, the spreading foot rising to a baluster body, waisted neck and flared rim,

middle section is applied on two sides with a lion-mask handles  and the edges and centres of each side with vertical flanges, painted overall with taotie masks and archaistic patterns on a key scroll ground, 34cm H.
