A MEDAL GROUP AWARDED TO 20655 SAPPER GEORGE FRASER DAYCOCK, DCM, FIELD COMPANY, ROYAL ENGINEERS, to include the Distinguished Conduct Medal, (named), ribbon; the 1914-1918 War Medal, (named), ribbon; the 1914-1919 Victory Medal, (named), ribbon. Also included is an original Army Orders Citation list, presented by General Sir H.S. Rawlinson, Bart, G.C.V.O., K.C.B., K.C.M.G., commanding Fourth Army, dated 5th March 1919, Nº 508. And the original citation letter from the General, dated 6th March 1919. And his discharge certificate (B.2079), dated 11/10/22, with a copy of the page showing the Sapper's entry of the 'Citations of the Distinguished Conduct Medal in the Great War 1914-1920'by the Naval and Military Press Ltd, detailing how he won the DCM; and a synopsis detailing his service, life and citation.
