MENU. “The Surrey County Cricket Club. Dinner to[sic] the Australian Cricket Team, at Skinners’ Hall, on Monday, 26th May, 1930.” A printed menu with embroidered fleur-de-lys, half tone illustration of a cricket match in progress at The Oval, and silk ribbon, with an original pencil caricature by Arthur Mailey, SIGNED, of a lady, incorporating the ribbon as a hair band, and further SIGNED by Don Bradman, J. C. White and J. W. Wall, 172 x 235mm., framed and glazed, 1930. "Here we go again! This time Mailey most adroitly takes advantage of the ribbon holding the bill of fare together, he turns it effortlessly into a bowed ribbon for the lady's hair. Mailey's genius is that he uses so few strokes to create the impression he is aiming for" (H.B.).
