BRADMAN, Donald “Don” (1908-2001) – Michael PAGE.  Bradman. The Illustrated Biography. South Melbourne: Macmillan, 1983 (reprint). 4to. Half title, half tone illustrations. Original green cloth with figure of Bradman at the crease stamped in white on upper cover and lettered in white on the spine, dust-jacket (backstrip of jacket a little faded). PRESENTATION COPY, the title inscribed, “To Henry, with very best wishes, Don Bradman. Adelaide. 28.1.’84.” Don Bradman is widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time. "I took this book up to the committee room at the Adelaide Oval during a Test Match in the eighties in fear and trepidation that I might be turned away. The Don not only signed it, but then chatted happily about the no-ball and the lbw laws. I stayed for about an hour and he asked me to dinner when we came to Adelaide again later in the tour" (H.B.).
