This week we are hosting two fantastic specialist sales. On Tuesday 19th April, the day starts at 11am with Jewellery and Watches which will be followed by Ceramics and Glass followed by the General sale.

The Jewellery and Watches sale includes a wide selection of beautiful and unique pieces.

One of the pieces that stands out is lot 131, a gent's c.1970, 18ct gold cased 'Rolex - Oyster Perpetual Day-Date' chronometer wristwatch. Ref: 1803. Year: 1970 (2858936). Estimate: £5,500 - £6,500.

The Ceramics and Glass sale will follow and features interesting and eclectic items to delight collectors, dealers and enthusiasts alike.

Amongst the star lots is a Meissen Model of a King Charles Spaniel, late 19th or early 20th century. Estimate £1,000 - £1,200.

Both sales (including the General sale) will be available to view on Sunday 17th 12 - 6pm, Monday 18th 10am – 6pm and before the sales starts on Tuesday. This is a chance to come and take a closer look at the collection in full.




Last week saw a successful Musical Instruments sale take place. This full sized French Mirecourt cello, labelled Buthod luthier, Eleve de S.Vuillaume a Paris, late 19th century, sold for £3,720 including Buyer's Premium.

We are pleased to welcome European Works of Art and Clocks to our ever-growing premium offering here at Chiswick Auctions. This new specialist department will be led by Rachael Osborn-Howard who has a great deal of experience in the area.

Having most recently been a Senior Specialist at Bonhams Auctioneers for over ten years where she valued and catalogued items for the New Bond Street Fine European Furniture, Sculpture and Works of Art sales and at their Knightsbridge salerooms cataloguing Works of Art and Clocks for the Period Design sales. She has also sourced, valued and catalogued numerous specialist sales such as ‘Objects of the Wunderkammer’ in 2009. Rachael has a BA Hons in History of Art from the University of Kent at Canterbury and particular expertise in the Medieval, Gothic and Renaissance periods.
