AN OTTOMAN SILVER BELT Ottoman Turkey, first quarter 20th century  Made of several pliable parcel-gilt silver chains woven together, the engraved belt clasp and buckle decorated with floral motifs and a rooster, each element marked with Mehmed V's (r. 1909 - 1918) tughra and sah marks, 97.5cm long when open. Provenance: UK private collection since 1980s.
