A late 18^th century German gold and guilloche enamel snuff box, Hanau circa 1790

Of oval form with a hinged lid, edge with chased bands of laurel, interspersed with S scrolls and rosettes, the sides with rocaille and C scrolls and rosettes, otherwise with engine turned decoration topped with translucent green enamel (two replaced). Some rosettes in silver. Marked to lid bezel with Hanau 18^th carat gold mark (shell).
