A late 18th century Swiss enamel and unmarked gold patch box, probably Geneva circa 1790

Of circular form with a pull off lid. The front with an enamelled scene of the eternal flame upon a pillar, with a lamb at its base and two billing doves, all against black, edged with rosettes reserved in white. The underside with white enamel scrolls, the sides with opaque blue enamel.

Diameter – 2.4 cm / 0.95 inches

Weight – 8 cm / 0.26 ozt
