A George III shagreen cased gold mounted scent bottle vanity case, probably London circa 1770

Of square form with re-entrant corners, the hinged lid (detached). Containing a pair of scent bottles, each with unmarked gold lids, the bottles with gilt lattice work decoration, stoppers present one stuck, a hinged opening mirror, with unmarked gold mounts, green glass base, the lid with gilt scene of a maiden in 18th century besides a urn on a pedestal and a tree with fence, a church in the background, in the manner of the James Giles workshop. An unmarked gold pencil holder. The lid of the case with a mirror to the interior, red velvet interior. The exterior with pique clous decoration.
