A MEISSEN HAUSMALER TEABOWL AND SAUCER, circa 1720-30, with Bayreuth decoration possibly by Christian Daniel Busch, the saucer with a chinoiserie vignette depicting an oriental figure with a crane flanked by flowering plants, the teabowl with a similar continuous scene, the rims with borders of gilt scrolls and stylised flowers, the saucer 13.2cm diameter, incised / inside the footrim of the teabowl (2) PROVENANCE: Private German collection. FOOTNOTES: A very similar teabowl and saucer was in the Marouf Collection; see Ulrich Pietsch, ‘Passion for Meissen’ (2010), no. 62.
