A MILITARY POCKET WATCH Date: Circa 1940's Movement: A lever escapement movement Dial: Signed, cream, back Arabic numerals with luminous insert at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock position, black outer minute division with outer luminous hour dots, blued hands with insert luminous, subsidiary dial for seconds at the 6 o'clock position Case: Polished,snap on the back,  with engraving (GS/TP 213123), No.303468  Size: 52mm Accompaniments: Generic grey travel box The pocket watch belongs to the Major Frank Harding, he volunteered for service during the Second World War, admitted to Sandhurst on 27th October 1939 prior to being posted to Gloster Regiment on 25th March 1940, after that he was transferred the Reconnaissance Corps being deployed during the D-Day. During his service in the Reconnaissance Corps he was awarded with the Military Cross in 1944 for his bravery and leadership as part of the war in France.
