A RARE MEISSEN TRENCHER SALT FROM THE ‘GREEN WATTEAU’ SERVICE, circa 1750, modelled by J.F. Eberlein, of shaped oval form, moulded with the 'Gotzkowsky-Relief' pattern of flowers, with alternating landscape vignettes depicting elegant couples in copper-green, black and flesh tones, within gilt-line borders, the well painted with scattered sprigs and sprays of Deutsche Blumen, 10.8cm wide, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue PROVENANCE: Private German collection.
