A pair of matching oblong folios titled 'Palestine' and 'Egypte', together containing 112 albumen prints, c.1870s-1880s. 'Palestine' includes (52) albumen prints primarily by Bonfils, depicting Holy Land sites, religious architecture, portraits and costume studies, each image approx 215 x 275mm (or the reverse), mounted recto and verso to blue card, most captioned and attributed in the negative. 'Egypte' includes (60) albumen prints, most measuring 225 x 280 (or the reverse), photographers include Bonfils, Reiser, Arnoux, Langaki, Montabone, Sebah, and others, mounted recto and verso to blue card, most captioned and attributed in the negative. Each set of albumen prints housed in green morocco boards measuring 355 x 485mm, each with gilded red morroco label bearing the geographical title of the album.
