A MEISSEN PLATE, third quarter 19th Century, outside-decorated in Kakiemon style with two birds perched on flowering branches issuing from stylised rockwork, surrounded by insects, the gilt-line rim with scattered sprigs and sprays of indianische Blumen, 25.4cm diameter, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue with quadruple cancellation mark, impressed numerals PROVENANCE: Private German collection.
