Opaque pigments and ink on paper, the small vertical-format standing portrait depicting a courtly maiden holding a vase with a bouquet of flowers, wearing the typical North Indian choli-ghagra outfit in hues of pink and orange, and a diaphanous shawl over her head, several strands of pearls around her neck and forehead, set within black and silver rules and pasted onto washed orange borders, the reverse marked with the purple ownership's stamp of the Maharaja of Bikaner, last checked 3rd June 1964, inv. no. 63, and signed by Khet Singh,
20.5cm x 13cm.

Provenance: once part of a private Finnish collection, purchased in India in the 1970’s
