A MEISSEN COFFEE CUP AND SAUCER, circa 1740, painted in Kakiemon style with bamboo and flowering branches, the rims with a formal trellis border in iron-red and gold reserved with four demi-flowers, the underside of the saucer with three scattered blooms in iron-red, the cup with an ear-shaped handle, the saucer 13.5cm diameter, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed number 63 to the saucer (2) PROVENANCE: Private German collection.
