A MEISSEN TEABOWL AND SAUCER, circa 1740, both painted in Kakiemon style with three sprigs of flowering oriental branches, both with a butterfly to the centre, with brown-edged rims, the saucer 12cm diameter, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed number 2 inside the footrim of the teabowl (2) PROVENANCE: Private German collection.
