A SYRIAN POLYCHROME-ENAMELLED COPPER TRAY

Designed in the shape of a flower, with a raised scalloped rim and short cavetto, the interior decorated with pink, cobalt blue, turquoise and green enamels laid out in drop-shaped sections with rosette stems flanked by bunches of grape, scrolling vegetal trellis on the cavetto, and more stylised floral design on the rim, the copper-gilt base marked with numerals and letters, possibly an old inventory note, 34cm diam.
