A PAIR OF SILVER REPOUSSÉ AND ENAMELLED BEGGAR'S BOWLS (KASHKUL)
Kashmir, Northern India, ca. 1880 - 1920

Of typical boat-like shape, resting on a short splayed foot, the tapering ends terminating in stylised dragon heads, the repoussé exterior embellished with floral bloom including lush carnations, rosettes and Chinar leaves, the background filled with cobalt blue and turquoise enamel, each 14.8cm x 10.5cm at widest points.
