PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT EUROPEAN PRIVATE COLLECTION
Iran, 18th - 19th century

Comprising a cylindrical weight with a dome-like top and scalloped rim, attached to a curved hook at the top, 18.5cm high; and a scale balancing arm, the faceted shaft marked in specific points matching the measuring system in place, ending in a pyramidal pommel on one end and a system of three hooks on the latter, approximately 50cm long.
