清十七或十八世紀 銅饕餮紋方觚

The square-section phoenix-tail vase formed with a tapering body rising from a splayed foot supported by four feet cast as standing bears, the sides set with rings suspending from taotie mask handles, the stepped neck rising to a wide flared rim, flanked by a pair of phoenix-form loop handles, the exterior cast in relief with various archaistic motifs including taotie masks on leiwen grounds and stiff vertical leaves,

52cm high, 12.2kg
