A George IV sterling silver snuff box, Birmingham 1822 by Lawrence & Co

Of oval cross sectional rectangular form, the hinged lid raised by a chased foliate scroll thumbpiece. The lid with a rectangular cartouche engraved with initials HB in flourished cursive script. The interior of lid later engraved “from his affectionate mother Maria, January 1858”. Gilt interior. Fully marked to lid flange only.
