PALESTINE INTEREST, late 19th - early 20th century

VIEWS OF THE HOLY LAND, album dated 1903. Fine album with large silver gelatin prints (103), each approx. 230 x 285mm (or the reverse). depicting religious sites and landscapes of Palestine c.1890-early 20th century, including an interesting view of a photographer with tri-pod before the Mount of Temptation, some with date annotations in ink on the image ('Mai 1903'), many titled in French and numbered in the negative below image. Housed in brown morocco boards with raised gilt binding, heavily rubbed and slightly coming away at lower binding, overall measuring 312 x 415mm.
