An early 20th century German sterling silver and guilloche enamel compact, probably Pforzheim, import marks for London 1930 by HC Freeman
Of rectangular form with a push button release with a hinged lid raised by a chased thumbpiece, the exterior with engine turned decoration, the lid topped with translucent royal blue enamel, edged with a chased band. The gilt interior with a mirror oposite a hinged powder compartment underneath a miniature lipstick holder. Import marks on mirror, interior and thumbpiece.
