An Elizabeth II sterling silver modernist tray, London 1954 by Leslie Gordan Durbin

Of oval form with up turned ends, reeded rim and plain field. Fully to underside of end.

Length – 32.3 cm / 11.6 inches

Weight – 688 grams / 22.12 ozt

Leslie Durbin, CBE, MVO, (1913-2005) was apprenticed to Omar Ramsden between 1929-38. Durbin was honoured in 1982 with a one-man exhibition at Goldsmith's Hall entitled "Fifty Years of Silversmithing."
