A cased pair of George VI sterling silver ‘arts and crafts’ spoons, London 1939 by Omar Ramsden

The cast shaped tri-form handles modelled as stylised ears of wheat, the fig shaped bowls with plannished decoration and a spiked heel. Housed in a original wooden case, the lining printed ‘Omar Ramsden, Artist Goldsmith, London, England’. Each fully marked. (2)

Spoon length – 17 cm / 6.75 inches

Case length – 21.75 cm / 8.6 inches

Silver weight – 144 grams / 4.63 ozt

A spoon of the same design and length by Ramsden of 1934 was sold Bonham’s Chester, 6 July 2010, Lot 291 (£432 incl. premium)
