ALGERIA INTEREST, c.1860s. Album of albumen prints (60), depicting traditional costume portraits alongside architectural views and urban and rural landscapes, image sizes ranging from 215 x 350mm to 125 x 85mm (or the reverse), each mounted on blue card recto and verso, some with French manuscript captions in pencil. Housed in an oblong folio measuring 265 x 354mm with red cloth boards reinforced with metal corners, spine with raised bands in 5 compartments, and marbled endpapers.
