A POTTERY TILE DEPICTING A SEATED PRINCE
Late Qajar or Early Pahlavi Iran, early 20th century

Of square shape, polychrome-painted in cobalt blue, manganese purple, pink, green, and brown with black outlines, all on a white ground, portraying a seated prince in a green robe, holding his hands together, on a high backed-bench surrounded by a vase of flowers, two ewers and several fruits, possibly pears, set within a circular medallion with floral festoons and stylised green palmettes on each corner, 26.8cm x 29.6cm.
